How to Sell USDT for Naira
Sell USDT by placing it for sale through P2P. When a buyer says they have paid, check your own bank balance and the sender's name. Release the USDT only after the full amount has arrived from the buyer's own account.
Why sellers carry the biggest risk
In P2P, escrow protects the buyer. The seller releases the USDT, and after that it is gone. Most losses happen when a seller releases before the money has really arrived. Read P2P Scams in Nigeria first.
Step by step
- Make sure your bank details are in your own name and match your verified identity.
- Open P2P and choose Sell, USDT, NGN.
- Choose an ad or post your own. Set the price and limits. Compare with today's naira rates.
- When a buyer places an order, wait for them to pay within the time shown on the order.
- Open your own bank app or account statement. Do not trust a screenshot or an SMS alert.
- Check three things:
- The full amount has arrived.
- The sender's name matches the buyer's verified name.
- The money is not "pending".
- Release the USDT using the release button on the order. The app may ask for your 2FA code.
When to stop
- The name does not match. Do not release. Ask the buyer to refund the sender, and use the appeal option if needed.
- The money is partial. Wait until it is complete.
- The buyer pushes you to hurry or to chat elsewhere.
